Although we live in a world with endless information just a click away, finding a good contractor for your next home improvement or remodeling project can be difficult. We know your home is very special to you, and that is why finding the right company for a remodel is imperative.
Mark McKinney (Lead Carpenter), Steven Chanthavisay (Carpenter), Lars Blazina (Estimator) and Olga Lockhart (Marketing & Communications) received certificates for successfully completing the ‘Healthy Home Training for Building Professionals’ course (02/21/19- 04/11/19) presented by the Masters Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties in partnership with the Northwest EcoBuilding Guild and Built Green.
This eight-week course is crafted for construction, design, and housing professionals to incorporate healthy and sustainable techniques into residential builds and remodels.
Part of owning a home is finding smart ways to stretch your dollar further than ever. Most homeowners actively seek to save money: they will call around for multiple quotes on that backyard remodeling project or look for ways to lower their home insurance rates. However, if you’re not working to make your home more energy-efficient, you could be leaving a lot of money on the table. Here’s our guide to just how much money you could be wasting—and how to keep more of that cash in your wallet.
There has been a lot of talk around “healthy” and “green building” practices for years now, but what are the actual benefits?
On February 19th- 20th, Paul Kocharhook (Owner of Pathway Design & Construction) attended 2019 NAHB International Builders' Show + KBIS Industry Show in Las Vegas, NV.
On January 18-20, Pathway Design & Construction is exhibiting at the Northwest Remodeling Expo*, Washington Convention Center to provide an opportunity for homeowners to ask questions about remodeling projects, permits, green building, or even how to make technological improvements.
Snap a few pictures on your phone of the areas you might like to re-work and we can chat about them at the show!
*Over the last 16 years, Northwest Remodeling Expo has built a reputation for bringing together the most active and discerning homeowners, and the leading home improvement experts under one roof. Over the course of three days, the Washington State Convention Center provides an appropriate and spectacular setting for the most innovative and informative home and garden exhibits and experts.

The addition of 12 new search criteria to the Northwest Multiple Listing Service (NWMLS) makes it easier for buyers to look for a new home. While these changes may not seem like a big deal, they're pretty exciting, especially for those living with physical challenges who are looking for a new home that accommodates their lifestyle.
“This was supposed to be the new house we wouldn’t have to work on or fix anything, as it appeared that the previous owners had taken a good care of the home” - shares Paul Kocharhook owner of SODO-based Pathway Design & Construction.
On October 26- 27, 2018 Pathway Design & Construction is attending the NW EcoBuilding Guild Green Building Slam & Summit. We were on the Committee and helped organize this event!
Green Building Slam
10 SPEAKERS, 10 MINUTES, 10 SLIDES
A simple idea, started years ago, has transformed into one of the most fun and inspirational green building events of the year. An opportunity to learn about 10 innovative, sustainable, high-performance "green" buildings that push the envelope in our built environment. Projects range from residential to multi-family to mixed use developments in the Seattle area.
Each of our juried 10 presenters have just 10 minutes to show us 10 slides of their exciting project as they explain what they learned, what they would do differently, and any other sustainable contributions that their project has made to our local community. Each presenter is an active member of the NW EcoBuilding Guild, has been trained by a speech coach, and is excited to share their project with the masses. The event typically attracts architects, builders, homeowners, energy efficiency experts, real estate professionals, interior designers and eco-conscious people.
Green Building Summit
This event takes place on October 27th and is a day of sharing, chatting, toasting and note-taking. An opportunity to step outside your daily routine, get inspired by our fantastic speakers, and connect with sustainable building professionals from the Pacific Northwest and beyond. We are looking forward to learning from one another, sharing best practices, and re-energizing our vision to drive the green building movement forward.
The Northwest EcoBuilding Guild is a 501(c)(3) non-profit community of builders, designers, suppliers, homeowners, and partners concerned with ecological building in the Pacific Northwest. The Guild empowers people through education to transform the built environment for long term sustainability.
