Energy Audits
If you are looking to increase the energy efficiency of your house, or just create more comfortable indoor space with fewer drafts, we also offer the service of a full energy audit with an Energy Performance Score score.
An Energy Performance Score models the structure of your house against other similar houses. An energy audit report gives you a prioritized list of weatherization projects for your house. It is a crucial step to planning any extensive renovations with energy efficiency in mind.
A Pathway Energy Audit will lay-out the projects you should focus on to achieve the maximum energy savings for your weatherization investment.
Pathway's energy auditors are certified with the Building Performance Institute and are listed as a Seattle City Light Home Energy Auditor.
Earthquake Retrofitting
Seismic retrofitting is a great way to protect what may be your biggest investment. The City of Seattle encourages residents to retrofit there house through the Project Impact Seattle offering a Standard Earthquake Home Retrofit Plan. Project Impact Seattle aims to reduce earthquake damage in existing wood frame residential buildings. This done by strengthing existing pony walls and tying exising sill plates to the foundation. It also may be possible to obtain earthquake insurance after your home has been properly retrofitted. You should contact your home insurance company for additional information and clarification.
