If you are looking to increase the energy efficiency of your house, or just create more comfortable indoor space with fewer drafts, an energy audit is a smart choice. An energy audit with one of Pathway’s certified energy auditors will help you identify the weatherization projects you should focus on to achieve maximum energy savings. It is a crucial step to planning any extensive renovations.
Our energy audit is a comprehensive, solution-oriented process based on years of hands-on experience in all aspects of home performance.
Our process begins with an assessment called an Energy Performance Score (EPS). EPS is a program being used across the country by utility programs, local and state governments, community-based organizations and independent energy assessors that provides a standardized estimate of a home’s energy use and associated carbon emissions. The EPS allows for comparisons against other similar houses, minus the influence of occupant behavior. Homeowners can also use the tool to compare the typical energy use of the house in its current state versus what it could be like after energy upgrades.
Our energy auditors are on Seattle City Light’s list of Home Energy Auditors. To appear on this list, each auditor must be certified with the Building Performance Institute, complete training to use the Energy Performance Score tool, and agree to follow Seattle City Light’s program guidelines.
